VentilatePro supports every stage of an HVAC career
We build and maintain two distinct offerings: the VentilatePro PE Simulator for exam candidates, and VentilatePro Projects for everyday HVAC design and project management. Use either product independently, or both when the timing makes sense.
Two specialized products under one banner
VentilatePro exists to serve HVAC engineers. We keep the simulator focused on exam readiness and the project app focused on daily execution, while maintaining shared assumptions and language for those who use both.
PE Exam Simulator
A full-lifecycle practice environment that mirrors the NCEES CBT experience with timed sections, flagging, and detailed solution reviews.
- Realistic two-section timing, breaks, and submission workflow.
- Performance analytics broken down by blueprint topic.
- Detailed solutions and curated study references for every question.
HVAC Design App
A collaborative workspace for engineers to manage projects, run load calculations, and leverage AI support without leaving the browser.
- Multi-project setup spanning buildings, zones, equipment, and notes.
- Automated load, ventilation, and psychrometric workflows aligned to ASHRAE.
- Mimir, our Gemini-powered assistant, accelerates design decisions and documentation.
Our mission & approach
We believe HVAC engineers deserve purpose-built tools for every career stage. The simulator helps candidates pass the HVAC & Refrigeration PE exam; VentilatePro Projects helps licensed professionals deliver outstanding work. Both products share the same quality bar and community mindset.
Volunteer-driven excellence
Experienced engineers contribute questions, solutions, and mentoring hours so our simulator stays true to the exam while remaining accessible to the next generation of PEs.
Built for real-world delivery
Our product team pairs licensed PEs with software engineers to capture field realities: complex building hierarchies, equipment schedules, reporting needs, and collaboration across time zones-all in a tool designed for ongoing practice, not exam prep.
Why engineers love the VentilatePro HVAC app
We designed the app to feel like an extension of your project binder-only smarter, faster, and always up to date.
Project workspaces
Structure every project by buildings, zones, rooms, equipment, and schedules, while keeping design notes and decisions alongside the data.
Collaboration & assignments
Assign tasks, log design minutes, and share updates with team members so everyone stays aligned across disciplines and time zones.
Psychrometrics & load analytics
Generate psychrometric charts, load breakdowns, and compliance reports that reflect the same assumptions you practice inside the simulator.
AI-assisted decisions
Mimir helps evaluate code pathways, draft client-ready narratives, and sanity-check equipment selections with Gemini-backed reasoning.
The VentilatePro advantage
Real-world simulator
Practice under authentic exam constraints, then revisit solutions with deeper explanations and resource links curated by licensed PEs.
Integrated workflow
Move directly from studying to practicing: the same assumptions, terminology, and data structures appear across the simulator and the HVAC app.
Community-driven growth
Volunteer instructors, partner firms, and our internal engineering team collaborate to expand question banks and in-app capabilities.
Accessible pricing
Our volunteer model and lean operations let us keep costs low while channeling resources into features that directly help engineers succeed.
Who we are
We are licensed Professional Engineers, software developers, and product thinkers who care deeply about advancing HVAC practice. From psychrometric algorithms to exam item validation, every feature is reviewed by both engineering and product leads before launch.
We work remotely across time zones, sharing design notes, QA findings, and user insights across both product teams. The offerings stay focused, but the knowledge we gain from one improves the other.
